Colorado Energy Office Director, Jeff Ackermann, Appointed to Public Utilities Commission

Jeff Ackermann, the former Director of the Colorado Energy Office was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper as Chair of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. The appointment of Jeff Ackermann was confirmed by the Colorado State Senate.  The Public Utilities Commission supervises investor owned utilities including electric and telecommunications companies.

Jeff Ackermann was the Director of the Colorado Energy Office for 3.5 years after being appointed by Governor Hickenlooper. He served as the Parliamentarian for NASEO and as the Regional Representative to the Central Region. Most recently he co-chaired with Tristan Vance of the Indiana Office of Energy Development, NASEO’s Presidential Transition Committee. The Transition Committee developed NASEO’s report and recommendations to the incoming Presidential Administration.
