U.S. Senators and House Members Sign Letters of Support for SEP and WAP

On March 18, the final SEP – WAP House Dear Colleague letter with 79 signatories, led by the bipartisan team of Representative Paul Tonko (D-NY) and Representative David McKinley (R-WV), was delivered to the U.S. House Energy and Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee.  This is the highest total number of signers in support of funding for both SEP and WAP in several years.

In addition, on March 27, a total of 36 U.S. Senators signed a letter to Senators on the Senate Energy and Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee.  NASEO is extremely pleased with the strong level of support shown for these state programs, particularly given the many new members of Congress who are less familiar with SEP and WAP.
