On October 15, 2015 the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Division of Energy released the Missouri Comprehensive Statewide Energy Plan. The plan, a result of an executive order signed in October, 2014 by Governor Jay Nixon, covers the following topics: Energy Efficiency, Energy Affordability, Diversity and Security of Supply, Regulatory Improvements, and Innovation, Emerging Technologies, and Job Creation.
