On Wednesday, April 3, Tony Usibelli, Division Director of the Washington State Energy Office, Jeff Herholdt, Director of the West Virginia Division of Energy, and Kate Marks, NASEO Managing Director, presented on state energy planning during a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) technical assistance webinar. Mr. Usibelli reviewed Washington’s state energy strategy process, analytic framework, near- and long-term recommendations, and lessons learned. Mr. Herholdt shared West Virginia’s state energy planning process and resource-specific recommendations. Ms. Marks covered NASEO’s state energy plan analysis results and guidelines that support comprehensive and strategic state energy planning.
