NASEO Comment Letter on Residential PACE Financing

Using input provided by State Energy Offices on last week’s Financing Committee call, NASEO has drafted a comment letter in response to the U.S. Department of Energy's updated Best Practice Guidelines for Residential PACE Financing Programs. DOE’s guidelines offer program and consumer protection recommendations to state, local, and private stakeholders advancing residential Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) laws, ordinances, and programs.

Please review NASEO’s comment letter and provide edits and suggestions back to me by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, August 19. Please share your comments with me in any format you prefer (sfazeli@naseo.org by email or 703-299-8800 x 117 by phone).

On a related note, NASEO will be hosting a "Residential Energy Labeling and Financing" workshop next month as part of our 2016 Annual Meeting in Providence, Rhode Island. The workshop, which is taking place on Sunday, September 11 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, which explore how residential energy labeling can be integrated with state and local home energy financing programs, including residential PACE. More information, including a detailed agenda, will be shared with you via email later this week.
