Following the State of Hawaii’s unveiling of its energy efficiency plan at the Clinton Global Initiative America meeting this month, the Hawaii Energy Office is launching an energy savings performance contracting program with the goal of doubling the efficiency of state and Honolulu County buildings by 2015, an effort which is expected to create 5,000 jobs.
