On July 22, 2024, NASEO, Georgetown Climate Center, Atlas Public Policy, and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) launched the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program Equity Dashboard on the EV States Clearinghouse. This dashboard summarizes the elements related to the Justice40 Initiative (Justice40 or J40) in the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program plans developed by states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
Users of the dashboard can view and compare:
(1) how each state identifies and defines DACs,
(2) the benefits to DACs each state plans to track, and
(3) the methodologies for how each state plans to track those benefits.
The dashboard is a resource to aid state policymakers as they update and implement NEVI State Plans, and to provide insights about Justice40 Initiative implementation within the NEVI Program. This dashboard is based on analysis of Justice40 implementation information provided in National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure State Plans for FY 2024. This resource is part of a larger initiative led by NASEO and AASHTO to enhance coordination and collaboration between State Energy Offices and State Departments of Transportation to ensure that NEVI and other EV charging infrastructure investments are made in a strategic, coordinated, efficient, and equitable manner.
