Workforce development is critical to ensuring the energy sector has the skilled workforce needed to build, operate, and maintain its systems. As technologies evolve and energy demand grows, states are working to expand training pathways, strengthen partnerships with industry, and support career opportunities in energy-related fields.

State Energy Offices play an important role in supporting these efforts by coordinating with workforce agencies, educational institutions, and industry partners to align training programs with energy sector needs.

Staff Contacts

NASEO's Training for Residential Energy Contractors (TREC) Working Group brings together State and Territory Energy Offices to share updates, exchange ideas, and discuss strategies for successful program implementation of the TREC formula grant program. This call provides a space for states that have begun planning their programs to offer insights to peers and foster open discussion around common challenges, opportunities, and questions related to the awards. All State and Territory Energy Offices are welcome to join. Please reach out to Arvand Golbazi (agolbazi@naseo.org) to learn more.
